What things actually cost, with the uncertainty left in.
These are the bands we work within, drawn from our delivery history. They are indicative, they exclude the things listed on every card, and none of them becomes an offer until a person confirms it in writing.
These bands are drafted from our delivery history and are indicative only. They have not yet been approved for publication as commercial terms, and no figure here constitutes an offer.
Guided estimate
Get to a band in about a minute
Five questions about the drivers that actually move cost: user types, integrations, data migration, regulatory position and how settled the scope is. It returns a range, and the range widens when the scope is early — because that is the truth.
Indicative band
Choose what you are building and the band will appear here as you answer.
Bands
Engagement by engagement
Each band lists what it includes, what it excludes and the variables that move a project within or beyond it.
Discovery
Discovery is where a project’s cost is actually decided. These engagements are fixed-price because their scope is genuinely knowable in advance, and they exist to make the next decision affordable and well informed.

Excluded from every band
Things we never bundle silently
- Applicable taxes — VAT or the local equivalent.
- Cloud infrastructure and AI model usage, passed through at cost with budget alerting.
- Third-party licences and subscription services.
- App-store fees and developer account costs.
- Travel and accommodation where on-site work is agreed.
- Content production: photography, video and copywriting beyond product content.
- Major integrations with systems we could not access during discovery.
Commercial models
How the money can be structured
- Fixed-price discovery — a defined scope with a fixed fee.
- Fixed-scope milestones — payment on acceptance against written criteria.
- Time and materials — for work whose shape genuinely cannot be fixed in advance.
- Dedicated squad — a cross-functional team at a fixed monthly rate.
- Build-operate-transfer — we build and run it, then hand it to your team on an agreed date.
- Managed product partnership — sustained joint ownership of a product’s delivery.
- Prepaid engineering blocks — capacity drawn down against an agreed rate.
- Outcome or consumption-linked models — only where the measure is agreed and not gameable.
Frequently asked questions
Why are these ranges so wide?
Because the honest range is wide. "A web application" covers a two-role internal tool and a multi-tenant marketplace with billing, and the difference is genuinely five times the cost. Narrowing the range requires knowing your integrations, your data, your users and your regulatory position — which is what discovery is for. A supplier who gives you a narrow number before knowing those things is either padding it or about to be wrong.
Do you publish prices for Ghana and Nigeria?
Not yet, and deliberately not by currency conversion. Converting a GBP figure at the day’s exchange rate produces a number that is wrong for those markets in both directions — it ignores local purchasing power, local competition and a different cost base. Market-specific commercial rules for Ghana and Nigeria are separate work. In the meantime, ask us and we will quote properly.
What is definitely not included?
Applicable taxes; cloud infrastructure and AI model usage, which we pass through at cost; third-party licences and subscriptions; app-store fees and developer accounts; travel and accommodation for on-site work; and content production such as photography, video and copywriting beyond product content. Major integrations with systems we cannot access during discovery are scoped and priced separately once we can see them.
How do payments work?
Discovery is typically invoiced on completion or in two parts. Fixed-scope delivery is invoiced against milestones on acceptance. Dedicated squads and managed services are invoiced monthly in advance. Standard terms are 30 days, and we agree them in the contract rather than assuming.
Can you work to a fixed budget?
Yes, and it is often the most productive constraint. Tell us the budget and we will tell you honestly what fits inside it, what does not, and whether what fits is worth building. That conversation is more useful than a scope we both know is unaffordable.
What happens when scope changes?
A written change request stating the scope, timeline and cost impact, which you approve or decline before we act on it. It appears in your client portal with its impact visible. We do not absorb changes quietly and surface a schedule problem three weeks later.
